Stuffed Mushroom Canapes

Canapes are very interesting, good looking, tasty Appetizers. I makes Canapes more often & this time tried with Mushrooms. This looks good & tastes extremely good.  For the stuffing I have used Prawns. Well the initial idea was to make a veg stuffed Mushroom but later thought adding Prawns might make my hubby like this dish. My Hubby is not a fan of Mushrooms. so I just picked one box of white Mushroom thinking that he will not eat much. But he loved it so much that he gulped almost 6 to 7 of these:). I know now the next time I need to pick up more. Well if you are a vegetarian just omit prawns & I bet it will still taste great.

Ingredients:

  • White Button Mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Paneer crumbled (Cottage Cheese)
  • 1/2 Cup boiled Potatoes Mashed
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Garlic
  • 1 Tsp All seasoning Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 6 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 5 Medium size Prawns cut into small pieces
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • Salt as per taste

Method:
For the stuffing: In a Pan add 1 tbso oil saute Garlic for a minute. Now add in prawns, pepper powder, all season powder & cook for 3 minutes. Add in Paneer(Cottage Cheese), potatoes, salt & mix this well.
wash the Mushrooms remove the stem & fill the stuffing inside. Now bake them in a preheated Oven for 10 minutes at 220 degree.  Sprinkle some oil on top before baking. Once they are done you will see lot of moisture (Stock) in the baking tray. Take this in a spoon & pour it on top of the stuffing. By doing this the mushroom will be very juicy. Now arrange them as canapes. I used Cherry tomatoes & garnished with a small coriander leaf.

Note:

  • I used cold cherry tomatoes as this will taste crunchy.
  • Try and eat it hot to enjoy all the flavors
