Strawberry Puree

Strawberries are very seasonal & when they are available we need to make the best use of it. I use Strawberries as filling for most of my cakes. Here i am sharing how to make & store fresh Strawberry Puree. This puree can be used to make frosting, cheese cakes, puddings, milk shakes or just as relish.

  • 1 pack fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tspn salt
  • 1 tspn Red Color
  • 1/4 cup water
  • In a Pan add all the above except color & simmer it for about 10 mins or until the Strawberries becomes soft & the sauce thickens.
  • Once this is a little cooled. Pour this mixture in a blender & make a smooth paste.
  • Add some color to this paste & store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
