I made this cake last Saturday for my friends daughters Birthday Party. The cake weighs around 5.4 kgs. Its a moist chocolate cake with Chocolate Swiss Meringue butter cream. I covered the cake with ganache & decorated it with homemade Marshmallow fondant.
The Birthday party theme was Princess & my friend had 2 different pinks in the theme. Thats why I have incorporated dainty pink & fuachia. I have tried the lace technique on the bottom cake with buttercream. I had seen this technique in one of the cake shows on TV. I loved the way it turned out. The toughest part in this cake was to make a blouse for the princess doll. For some reason everytime i made blouse for the doll, her chest looked pointed:) so I had to drape some fondant first on the chest & than make a top for the doll to hide.:)
BTW these ate iphone clicks, My camera battery died off so couldnt click good pics:(
Your princess cake looks so nice but i dont know how to make basic cakes.
